WHAT WAS REGISTERED BY ENTREPRENEURS FROM GDAŃSK IN JANUARY?

As a law and patent office from Gdańsk, we try to be up to date with the ideas and needs of Gdańsk and Tricity entrepreneurs. Therefore, below we present the report from the January applications published by the PPO and EUIPO.

TRADEMARKS FROM GDAŃSK IN UPRP

In January, the PPO informed about 13 new trademark applications that were filed by applicants from Gdańsk. 11 of these applications are word and figurative signs, and only 2 are purely word marks. The trademarks include those that will be used for such goods and services as: saunas and massages (Z.538454 – Good Luck Club fitness & medical training), employment agencies (Z.539031 – ALTEGO) or education (Z.538769 – Fahrenheit colleges).

The vast majority of applications covers goods and services collected in only 1 class. Also the vast majority of entrepreneurs from Gdańsk used services of patent attorneys or other professional representatives.

NEW EU TRADEMARKS

In January 2022, Gdańsk entrepreneurs applied for protection of their trademarks not only in Poland but also at EUIPO. Among the entrepreneurs we can find representatives of the hotel industry (ZTUE018594024 – work hostels) and technology (ZTUE018632444 – FANUCI). All applications were filed by patent attorneys from Gdańsk and Gdynia.

DID ENTREPRENEURS FROM GDAŃSK FILED FOR ANY INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS IN EUIPO?

Although the total number of applications from Poland was quite impressive, in January entrepreneurs from Gdańsk did not submit any Community Designs for protection. Our patent attorneys hope the situation will turn around in February and we will be able to report interesting examples of the latest industrial design to our readers.
